Dr Christian E

Originally from the US, Dr Christian came to Australia at 25 to study medicine at Flinders University in Adelaide. Prior to GP training he worked extensively in Psychiatry for about 18 months, mainly in inpatient setting as well as an outpatient drug and alcohol clinic.
After graduating in 2005, he set his career path in General Practice. He completed GP training in rural NSW in 2012, and then moved to the Gold Coast where he worked as a locum until 2014. Thereafter he moved back to the US for additional training for three years and completed another training program in Family Practice.
He then decided to move back to Australia and has been working on the GC ever since. His special interests include: chronic disease management (in particular – hypertension, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, and osteoporosis) and mental health issues (including depression, BPAD, and schizophrenia).
