Dr Chan Aung

MBBS FRACGP

Dr Chan graduated from the University of Medicine 1 (Yangon) Myanmar in 2012 and after a few years gaining experience in both a hospital setting and general practice, he decided to visit Australia. This was supposed to be a relatively short visit, however, while in Australia, he made the decision that he would like to live in Australia permanently.

He was subsequently accepted into the Australian GP Training Program – a comprehensive, 4-year GP Training Program run by the RACGP. During this time, he spent 2 years working in the Alice Springs Hospital, which introduced him to rural and remote medical care in Australia.

Following his time at Alice Springs he then worked in General Practices in both Wagga and Griffith before making the decision to move to the Gold Coast – which he now calls home.
